Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the YoTeach.me platform ("Platform"), operated by Diafani Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 87 696 696 287), trading as YoTeach.me ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

By creating an account you represent that you are at least 18 years old. Student accounts may only be created by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a student, and by registering you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the student(s) you add to your account.

2. Service description

YoTeach.me provides AI-powered tutoring sessions for Australian students in Years 6–10, using the Socratic method across Maths, English, Science, and Humanities & Social Sciences. The Platform includes voice tutoring, session transcripts, image upload for homework questions, and a parent dashboard.

The Platform is a supplementary educational tool and is not a replacement for formal schooling, teacher instruction, or professional educational assessment.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Access to tutoring sessions requires an account. A free tier is available with limited hours. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in Australian Dollars (AUD) via Stripe. Prices are displayed at the time of subscription.

  • Free trialAll plans include a 7-day free trial. A payment method is required at signup but will not be charged until the trial period ends.
  • Subscription renewalPaid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • CancellationYou may cancel at any time from the billing dashboard. Access continues until the end of the paid period. No refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by Australian Consumer Law.
  • Extra hoursAdditional tutoring hours can be purchased as a one-off block at the rate displayed in your dashboard.
  • Exam Practice add-onAn optional Exam Practice add-on is available at $29 AUD per student per month. It can be added or removed from the billing dashboard.
  • Curriculum add-onsWhere your child studies a curriculum outside the Australian Curriculum (such as the IB Diploma Programme), an optional curriculum authority add-on is available at $34.95 AUD per month per add-on.
  • School (institutional) accountsSchools and educational institutions are billed annually per enrolled student seat. The standard rate is $29.95 AUD per seat per month (billed annually), with a discounted rate of $25 AUD per seat per month for institutions with 1,000 or more seats. 4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or illegal
  • Attempt to circumvent the AI's educational guardrails
  • Share login credentials with persons outside your immediate family
  • Use automated tools to access the Platform
  • Reverse engineer or copy any part of the Platform

Session transcripts generated during your sessions are provided to you for personal educational use only.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that the AI tutor's responses are 100% accurate or free from error. You should verify important academic information with qualified teachers.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including (without limitation) loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business or commercial opportunity, loss of data, loss of goodwill, loss of expected academic results or grades, or costs of substitute services, however arising — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), under statute, or otherwise — and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform is limited to the total fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot be excluded by agreement.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms (and our Privacy Policy) from time to time. When we make material changes, you'll be asked to review and re-accept the updated documents the next time you sign in to the parent dashboard; you will not be able to continue using the Platform until you do. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the most recent change.
